@BibiBaskin @RadioBrendanRTE @MichealMartinTD On principle I don't listen to @RadioBrendanRTE as his imitation of the great Marian Finucane is so deathly pale but I agree with your general point.

RTE's payroll cut includes wages of the late Marian Finucane and retired Sean O'Rourke https://t.co/nwRamMLM60

@FrankRy24324162 @BTriagain If only there was not actual data and evidence to support my claim. Such data goes back yrs. The late Marian Finucane had a particularly strong anti-sf stance that was evidenced by how few SF contributors were on her show or panel over the yrs. My charge of bias in RTE is not new

The two broadcasters had combined payments of €686,000 in 2019. https://t.co/mMYrFgA99d

@nwl88444048 Marian Finucane’s salary went up by €20k each year. Why? For what? That’s the bizarre one. Would any other broadcaster pay that for 2 shows a week? Bizarre.

#fakenews once again from #rte The alleged cut in wages counts the wages of the late Marian Finucane and retired Sean O'Rourke #clairebyrne https://t.co/aA7LLLGwpU

So in other words, in order for @rte to actively reduce it's phenomenal wages bill, it has to wait for presenters to (unfortunately) pass away or retire ? huh? https://t.co/R5PFacC9MI

@Independent_ie Rather crass. Marian Finucane was a fantastic broadcaster who a lot of us miss. For those that knew her personally that’s horrific to read. Imagine her husband seeing it.

RTÉ’S claim that its overall bill for ‘top talent’ fell by around €480,000 last year includes the pay of the late Marian Finucane and retired Sean O’Rourke.

@caulmick @donegalclaret @irishdailymail Brendan O'Connor and Claire Byrne took over the shows of Marian Finucane and Sean O'Rourke both on higher salaries. Did the audience figures drop?

@Niall_Boylan I don't get how Brendan O Conner got so much in 18 & 19, did he not just cover Marian Finucane's holidays?

@TVsCarlKinsella Every time that idiot shows up on Marian Finucane's slot you can hear the panelists' teeth grinding, knowing they can't properly demolish him without having that nasally twanged "ah now in FAAAIRness" desperation to not get angry texts from Irish rednecks interrupt them.

Jesus, RTE pay released today for the last 3 years . Marian Finucane got paid some amount of money for doing fuck all . At least John Delaney appeared to do at least 5 hours work a week !

Interesting to note that the highest earning woman (RIP Marian Finucane) in @rte earned <2/3 of the highest earning man (Ryan Tubridy) in 2019. I understand that there’s been a 15% pay cut, but would hope that @MiriamOCal can close the 40% pay discrepancy. #genderequity

@EwanMacKenna I loved Marian Finucane, but did she do anything other than her Saturday radio show? Perhaps an hourly rate would be more fitting. Mary Wilson and Sean O’Rourke were on every day doing live & demanding current affairs shows

@RTEPlayerInt I want to watch the lovely documentary on Marian Finucane here in the UK. Can it be made available to view abroad via the app?

@sarahcareyIRL @GerardBrady100 I can’t get the damned thing to play but this was the programme: https://t.co/6HX2Mrt1JZ

@philipnolan1 I am forever grateful to Nell McCafferty, Marian Finucane, Nuala O'Faoilain and co for causing 'good trouble '. Those days were awful for us women.

@Trickstersworld I used to listen to Marian Finucane to hear what the "Golfgate" establishment thought about things. That slot not even worth listening to now.

Do you remember how you looked forward to Marian Finucane at 11am on a Saturday. Changed times

Even Marian Finucane,would be proud.👏👌 https://t.co/6pD68F6sG1

@davidcochrane I know! Something similar used to happen on Twitter every weekend with the Marian Finucane show (and not just when I was on it). The *same* people would turn up complaining about it. Why are you repeatedly tuning into something you know you don't like?
